Stuart Porter

Founder and CEO

Stuart Porter is a Founder, Managing Partner and serves as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer. Stuart brings over 29 years of senior investment experience to Denham. Stuart serves on the Management Committee, Fund Investment Committee and Valuation Committee.

Prior to founding Denham, Stuart was a founding partner of Sowood Capital Management LP and, prior thereto, was employed as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Harvard Management Company, Inc. where he focused on public and private transactions in the energy and commodities sectors. Stuart previously worked for Bacon Investments and at J. Aron, a division of Goldman Sachs. While at J. Aron, he worked on the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index desk. Prior to joining J. Aron, Stuart was a self-employed trader at the Chicago Board of Trade and was employed by Cargill Incorporated in Minnetonka, Minnesota in the Financial Markets Division. Stuart volunteers his time by serving on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, a charitable organization, and also serves as a Trustee of St. Sebastian’s School in Needham, MA.

Stuart received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Scott Mackin

Managing Partner and Co-President

Scott Mackin is a Managing Partner and Co-President and heads the firm’s Power Deal Team. He brings over 30 years of energy experience to Denham and is a member of the Management Committee, Fund Investment Committee and Valuation Committee.

Prior to joining Denham, Scott was CEO of Covanta Energy Corporation, President of Ogden Energy, and General Counsel at Ogden Projects. He also was an Associate at Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis and served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Daniel H. Huyett III, Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is Co-Chairman of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) Energy and Infrastructure Council and a frequent speaker at the London Business School.

Scott currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Endeavor Energy, BioTherm Energy, Rio Energy, Thesis Energy, Nexif Energy, and Greenleaf Power.

He received a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Program, from Villanova University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. He is an Emeritus Member, Villanova University College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Committee and served on the Committee of Visitors for the University of Michigan Law School.

Carl Tricoli

Managing Partner and Co-President

Carl Tricoli is a Founder, Managing Partner and Co-President and heads the firm’s Oil & Gas and Mining teams. He brings 36 years of experience to Denham and is a member of the Management Committee, certain of Denham’s investment committees and the Valuation Committee.

Prior to joining Denham in 2004, he served as President of GeosCapital (a J.M. Huber Corporation), after serving as Vice President for Enron North America, Managing Director of Koch Producer Services, President of Black Hawk Resources and Managing Director of Corporate Finance for NationsBank Capital Markets. Carl serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Connaught Oil and Gas, Sierra Buckeye LLC, Platino Energy, Pangea Exploration (Proprietary), Ltd. and Mining Ventures Brasil Ltda.

He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Cass Business School in London.

Riaz Siddiqi

Founder and Managing Partner

Riaz Siddiqi is a Founder and Managing Partner and brings more than 38 years of experience to the firm in the energy and asset management fields. He is a member of the Fund Investment Committee and Valuation Committee.

Prior to joining Denham, Riaz was President and CEO of Capstone Global Energy, and previously held executive roles, including Managing Director at Cinergy Capital and Trading and other Cinergy companies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Greene’s Energy and Endeavor Energy. Riaz is a volunteer pilot for Angelflight, Pilots for Patients and Veterans Airlift Command and is a recipient of the Asia Society Houston Center’s award for leadership in business and philanthropy. He is involved in several public service causes and serves on the boards of the American Pakistan Foundation and the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Pakistan University of Energy & Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Graduate School of Business at Mississippi State University.

Jordan Marye

Managing Partner

Jordan Marye is a Managing Partner, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring and execution of investments for the O&G Deal Team. He is a member of certain of Denham’s investment committees and the Valuation Committee. He brings 13 years of energy experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Jordan was an Analyst in the Global Energy Group of UBS Investment Bank and a consultant in the Energy Practice of Huron Consulting Group. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Atlantic Resources, Sierra Buckeye, Ursa Resources Group II, Tall City Exploration, Covey Park Energy, Tundra Oil & Gas, and Outrigger Energy.

He received a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University.

Bert Koth

Managing Director and Partner Denham Mining Fund

Bert Koth is a Managing Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring and execution of investments for the Mining Deal Team. He brings 21 years of experience to the firm and is a member of the Fund Investment Committee. He speaks English, German, Spanish, French and Russian.

Prior to joining Denham, Bert worked at BHP Billiton, ING Barings, and Deutsche Bank. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Tremont Master Holdings Ltd., Pembroke Resources and Auctus Minerals.

Bert received a graduate degree and a PhD in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics, Austria.

Rob Still

Partner Denham Mining Fund

Rob Still is currently Chairman of Pangea Exploration (Proprietary), Ltd., which provides information and analysis to Denham’s African mining platform. He brings 28 years of mining experience to the firm and is a member of the Fund Investment Committee.

Prior to Pangea Exploration, Rob has been involved in the mining industry worldwide, from discovery to production, and has held executive and non-executive directorships in companies listed in South Africa, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. He has participated in the evaluation and/or development of several new mining projects and companies including Rhovan (vanadium – discovery to production), Ticor (mineral sands – discovery and evaluation), Pangea GoldFields (exploration and discovery), Southern Mining Corporation Limited (mineral sands – Corridor Sands), Metorex Ltd (copper – turnaround) and Zimplats (platinum – discovery to production). Rob began his mining career in 1987 when he co-founded Rhombus Exploration, a JSE junior. Prior to 1987, he was a Partner at Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young).

Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Witwatersrand, a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree from the University of Cape Town and a Certificate of Theory of Accounting from the University of Witwatersrand. It is expected that Mr. Still’s services in respect of the Fund will be procured via the Sub-Advisory Agreement with the Sub-Advisor.

Geer Blalock

Managing Director

Geer Blalock is a Managing Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring and execution of investments for the O&G Deal Team. He joined Denham in 2008. He brings eight years of energy experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Geer was an Analyst at Randall & Dewey, a division of Jefferies & Company, where he focused on the oil and gas exploration and production industry. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Atlantic Resources, MS Energy Services, Ursa Resources Group II and S&A Resources.

Geer received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin

Jason Craig

Managing Director

Jason Craig is a Managing Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring and execution of investments for the O&G Deal Team. He joined Denham in 2012. He brings 10 years of energy experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Jason was a Reservoir Engineer and Drilling Engineer with Newfield Exploration. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Fairway Resources III and LOLA Energy.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Justin DeAngelis

Managing Director

Justin DeAngelis is a Managing Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring, valuation and execution of investments for the Power Deal Team.  He brings 20 years of experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Justin was a Director at Waypoint Energy and worked as a Manager at Pace Global Energy and PG&E National Energy Group, after serving as an Engineer at Delmarva Power.  He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Endeavor Energy, Thesis Energy, and subsidiaries of Rio Energy.

Justin is a member of the Advisory Council for NASP-USAID Investment Partnership for mobilizing institutional investors to develop Africa’s infrastructure.

Justin holds a Master of Business Administration from LeBow College of Business at Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science from Drexel University.

Caroline Donally

Managing Director

Caroline Donally is a Managing Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring, valuation and execution of investments for the Mining Deal Team. She brings 21 years of experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham in 2011, Caroline worked in the project finance areas at Rand Merchant Bank and Investec Bank Limited, focusing exclusively on metals and mining transactions. Previously, she worked at BDO Spencer Steward. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Tremont Master Holdings Ltd. (Board and Audit Committee) and Santiago Metals.

Caroline received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa. She also holds a Chartered Accountant designation.

Saurabh Anand

Director

Saurabh Anand is a Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring, valuation and execution of investments for the Power Deal Team. He brings 14 years of principal investing experience in the global energy industry to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Saurabh spent four years with GE Energy Financial Services focusing on private equity and structured financing transactions in the energy industry. In this role, he originated, evaluated and executed multiple power generation and oil and gas investments in the United States and AsiaPacific region. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nexif Energy, Jenner Renewables, Rio Energy and Greenleaf Power.

Saurabh received a Bachelor of Engineering from Panjab University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.

John McLaughlin

Director

John McLaughlin is a Technical Director, responsible for technical screening and valuation, risk assessment and portfolio management for the Oil & Gas Team. He joined Denham in 2016.

Prior to joining Denham, John was a Vice President at Ryder Scott Company, an Associate Director / Reservoir Engineer at Macquarie Energy Capital in both Houston and London, and Reservoir Engineer and Reservoir Surveillance Engineer at ExxonMobil.  John has 15 years of technical experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

John earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Masters of Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston.

James Obulaney

Director

James Obulaney is a Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring, execution and monitoring of investments for the O&G Deal Team. He joined Denham in 2014. He brings five years of energy experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, he was an Associate in the Energy Private Equity Group at Avista Capital Partners and an Analyst in the Global Energy Group at Morgan Stanley.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Atlantic Resources, Tall City II, Ursa Resources II and S&A Resources. James earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Mark Riccio

Director

Mark Riccio is a Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring, valuation and execution of investments for the Mining Deal Team. He brings 14 years of experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Mr. Riccio was a Vice President with Merrill Lynch International’s global natural resources investment banking group in Sydney, Australia where he focused on the metals and mining industry. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he worked at Advisors Asset Management and Invesco Funds. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Auctus Minerals, Pembroke Resources and Stellar Mining.

Mark received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation

Steven Smith

Director

Steve Smith is a Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring, execution and monitoring of investments for the O&G Deal Team. He joined Denham in 2011. He brings six years of energy experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Steven was an Analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group of Evercore Partners and an Analyst at GulfStar Group. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of COG Energy, Fairway Resources, Greene’s Energy Group, Outrigger Energy and WhiteWater Midstream.

Steven graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Texas A&M University.

Alex Deng

Vice President

Alex Deng is a Vice President, responsible for financial modeling, execution and monitoring of investments. He brings five years of experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Alex was an Analyst in the Global Metals & Mining Investment Banking Group of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) World Markets in Vancouver and Sydney.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Real Estate from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.

Juergen Heeg

Vice President

Juergen Heeg is a Vice President, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring, valuation and execution of investments for the Power Deal Team. He brings 13 years of experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Juergen was a Vice President at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, where he originated and executed transactions in wind, solar, biomass, regulated utilities and conventional power generation across Europe. Before Macquarie, Juergen worked for Siemens’s energy division and the German Army.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in International Management from the University of Applied Sciences Essen.

Steven Mandel

Vice President

Steven Mandel is a Vice President, responsible for origination, structuring, valuation and execution of investments for the Power Deal Team. He brings nine years of experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Steven was an Analyst in the Global Power Investment Banking Group at Citigroup, focusing on M&A, financings and restructurings of utilities, independent power producers and generation assets. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Jenner Renewables and BioTherm Energy.

Steven earned a Masters in Finance at the London Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from Lehigh University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Anil Pillai

Vice President

Anil Pillai is a Vice President, responsible for financial modeling, execution and monitoring of investments. He joined Denham in 2014 and brings two years of energy experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Anil was an Analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group of Jefferies LLC.

Anil earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics at The University of Texas at Austin.

Will Blake

Associate

William is an Associate, responsible for financial modeling, execution and monitoring of investments. He brings two years of experience and joined Denham in 2016.

Prior to joining Denham, William was an analyst in the Power & Renewable Energy Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.

William received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.

Brian Ferrey

Associate

Brian Ferrey is an Associate, responsible for financial modeling, execution and monitoring of investments. He brings three years of experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Brian was an analyst in the Equity Capital Markets and Global Metals & Mining groups at UBS Investment Bank in Toronto.

Brian holds an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He graduated with distinction as an Ivey Scholar.

Sandro Kacharava

Associate

Sandro is an Associate, responsible for financial modeling, execution and monitoring of investments. He brings two years of experience and joined Denham in 2017.

Prior to joining Denham, Sandro was an analyst in the European Energy Group at Credit Suisse in London.

Sandro received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from the University College London.

Steven Mickey

Steven Mickey is an Associate, responsible for financial modeling, execution and monitoring of investments. He joined Denham Capital in 2015.

Prior to joining Denham, Steven was an Analyst in the Global Natural Resources Group of the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs, where he focused on the oil and gas industry.

Caroline Petersen

Associate

Caroline Petersen is an Associate, responsible for financial modeling, execution and monitoring of investments. She joined Denham Capital in 2017.

Prior to joining Denham, Caroline was an Associate in the Global Natural Resources Group of the Investment Banking Division of Barclays, where she focused on the oil and gas industry.

Caroline earned a Master of Real Estate and Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Honors at Texas A&M University. She graduated summa cum laude.

Zac Query

Associate

Zac Query is an Associate, responsible for financial modeling, execution and monitoring of investments.  He joined Denham Capital in 2016.

Prior to joining Denham, Zac was an Analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group of Evercore Partners and an Analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group of Raymond James.

Zac earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a second major in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis.  He graduated magna cum laude.

Ana Vugdelija

Associate

Ana Vugdelija is an Associate, responsible for financial modeling, execution and monitoring of investments. She brings four years of experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Ana was an Analyst in the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure team at Société Générale Investment Banking Group in London and a Business Analyst in the Business Planning Group at NYSE.

She holds a Master of Science in Finance from the Bocconi University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Francis College.

Sabine Chalopin

ESG Manager

Sabine Chalopin is the ESG Manager to Power Deal Team and is responsible for screening, managing and monitoring investments for environmental and social risks and opportunities. She brings 11 years of power experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, she was the ESG Manager at Armstrong Asset Management in Singapore where she implemented an Environmental and Social Management System and managed projects for environmental and social compliance in the Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. Prior to Armstrong Asset Management, Sabine was with Kyoto Energy (Singapore) where she was responsible for business development.

She holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BCom in Business Studies from Edinburgh University.

Shane Williams

Technical Analyst

Shane Williams is a Technical Analyst, responsible for supporting technical screening and valuation, risk assessment and portfolio management for the O&G Deal Team. He joined Denham in 2015 and brings three and a half years of energy experience to the firm.

Prior to joining Denham, Shane was an Acquisition and Divestitures Analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group at Wells Fargo Securities and an Analyst at RPS-Knowledge Reservoir.

Shane earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at Texas Tech University.

John Collins

Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer

John Collins is a Managing Director and Denham’s Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for the business operations, accounting and administrative functions of the firm, its worldwide subsidiaries and its private equity funds. John has 26 years of private equity experience and is a member of Denham’s Valuation Committee.

Prior to joining Denham in 2005, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Capital Resource Partners and was a Manager in the fund accounting group at Advent International Corporation.

John received a Bachelor of Arts from Norwich University and a Master of Business Administration from Salem State University.

Wallace Varga

Managing Director

Wallace Varga is the Managing Director of Tax and brings over 21 years of experience to the firm. He is responsible for all tax matters affecting the firm and its private equity funds. He is also responsible for tax analysis, structuring and execution of investments. Wallace joined Denham in 2005 and is a member of the Valuation Committee.

Prior to joining Denham, Wallace was the Director of Tax for BISYS Alternative Investment Services and Tax Manager at Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young where he focused on middle market, real estate, private equity and hedge fund clients.

He received a Bachelor of Science from Merrimack College, a Master of Science in Accounting from Suffolk University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley College. Wallace is a Certified Public Accountant.

Paul Winters

General Counsel

Paul Winters is a Managing Director and Denham’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. He brings 23 years of experience to the firm. As General Counsel, Paul is responsible for all legal matters affecting Denham, its funds and its fund investments. He is a member of the Valuation Committee. Paul speaks Spanish and some German.

Prior to joining Denham, he was an attorney in the Project Development and Finance Group of Latham & Watkins LLP, specializing in international power project development and financing, and an analyst responsible for constructing financial models of mining companies and other projects for The Winters Company. Paul serves on the Board of Directors of Wide Horizons for Children, a Boston-based adoption and child welfare agency.

Paul received a Bachelor of Science and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.

Tony Fiore

Associate General Counsel

Tony Fiore is a Director and Denham’s Associate General Counsel. He brings 21 years of experience to Denham. As Associate General Counsel, Tony is responsible for legal matters affecting Denham, its funds and its fund investments.

Prior to joining Denham, Tony was legal counsel to Aker Solutions (formerly Aker Kvaerner), where he provided legal counsel in connection with the engineering and construction of LNG receiving terminals, as well as the engineering and construction of mining, metals and midstream oil and gas projects globally. Prior to that, Tony was an attorney at Baker & McKenzie in Houston, where he focused on midstream oil and gas development projects in Latin America, and at Andrews Kurth LLP in Houston, where he focused on power, wind and LNG.

Tony received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law.

Michael Sigman

Managing Director

Michael Sigman is a Managing Director and head of the Risk Group. He brings 33 years of experience to Denham. Michael is a member of Denham’s Valuation Committee.

Prior to joining Denham, he was an Executive Director at Capstone Global Energy, a Vice President at Cantor Fitzgerald and Co., a Vice President at ABN Amro, a Director at Swiss Bank Corp, a Vice President at Yamaichi International (America) and an Assistant Vice President at Kidder Peabody and Co.

Michael received a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Koenraad Driessens

Director

Koenraad Driessens is a Director, responsible for analysis of investments in the Risk Group. He brings 24 years of experience to the firm and is fluent in Dutch and conversant in French and German.

Prior to joining Denham, Koenraad served as a Senior Analyst at Canam Inc. and Capstone Global Energy. Previously, he was a Business Analyst at SKF and an Economist at Laurits R. Christensen Associates.

Koenraad received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Marquette University

Adam Carte

Operating Partner

Adam Carte is an Operating Partner, providing advice and services to Denham and its portfolio companies on a variety of management and operational areas. He brings 23 years of experience to Denham.

Adam first began working with Denham while serving in the role of CFO at Thermal North America/Trigen, a Denham portfolio investment. Prior to joining Trigen, he spent two years working with Texas-New Mexico Power/First Choice Power. From 1993 to 2003, he worked at NRG Energy, Inc. in various financial positions, ultimately as acting CFO, Vice President and Treasurer. Adam is also the co-founder of Fairlead Advisors, a firm that provides strategic, commercial, executive management and financial expertise to private equity and venture capital clients. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Euro Bioenergy Holdings and Greenleaf Power.

Adam received a Bachelor of Arts from Earlham College and a Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Victor Muñoz

Operating Partner

Victor Muñoz is an Operating Partner, responsible for the origination, analysis, structuring and execution of investments within Latin American region. He brings 26 years of experience to the firm. Victor is a member of the Valuation Committee, the Power Deal Team and the Mining Deal Team.

He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Prior to joining Denham, Victor was a Director at PSEG Global, a Manager at Enron North America and an Associate at Chase Securities. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Mining Ventures Brasil Ltda., Stellar Mining, Santiago Metals and Rio Energy.

He received a Bachelor of Science from Los Andes University in Colombia and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Robert Warburton

Operating Partner

Bob Warburton is an Operating Partner, providing advice and services to Denham and its portfolio companies on a variety of management and operational areas. He brings 38 years of experience to the firm.

He was previously Senior Vice President of Operations for Waypoint Energy and before that, Vice President of Operations for InterGen. Bob also served as General Manager of Ocean State Power for J. Makowski Co., a Plant Manager for the City of Colorado Springs Utilities Department and a Field Engineer at Babcock & Wilcox. He served as Executive Chairman of Big Island Carbon.

He received a Bachelor of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado. He has been a Registered Professional Engineer since 1984.

Bill Calcraft

Senior Advisor

Bill Calcraft is a Senior Advisor based in Sydney, Australia, providing advisory services to Denham and portfolio companies in the Australasia region.

He previously served as Managing Director at Allianz Capital Partners, where he was instrumental in creating and developing the firm’s renewable energy investment business. Bill also held senior positions at the Union Bank of Switzerland, Banco Santander and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nexif Energy.

Bill received a Bachelor of Commerce of Law from the University of New South Wales and a Diploma in Social Studies, Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Basenose College, Oxford University. He holds both Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction qualifications from the Institute of Directors, London.

Chris Picotte

Senior Advisor

Mr. Picotte is a Senior Advisor providing advisory services to Denham and its portfolio companies. Since 2013, he has been the Chairman and a shareholder of px Group Ltd, a leading provider of O&M, engineering and trading services for midstream, power generation and industrial infrastructure assets in the United Kingdom. He is also currently the Managing Partner of Aksiom Partners, which focuses on European small- and mid-cap energy services companies. Previously, he served as a Managing Director and Senior Advisor at ArcLight Capital Partners from 2001-2014, where he led their European investment activity.

As both an institutional and private investor he has invested more than $1 billion of equity across the power, midstream and natural resources sectors throughout Europe and in the US. In 2014 he started Thesis Energy, a Denham backed venture, seeking niche, European merchant generation M&A opportunities.

Mr. Picotte earned a B.A. in Physics from Harvard University.

Don Schissel

Senior Advisor

Don Schissel is a Senior Advisor, providing advisory services to Denham and its portfolio companies focused on mining investments. He brings over 35 years of experience to Denham. Before becoming an independent consultant, Don held senior exploration roles with BHP Billiton and certain of its predecessor companies, including Exploration Manager for Russia and Kazakhstan and Global Search Leader – Diamonds and Nickel-PGM.

Don began his career as a Senior Geologist with the Manville Corporation in Billings, Montana in 1974. He has significant experience designing, implementing and managing exploration plans and budgets. Don also assists Denham’s Mining Deal Team in evaluating investment opportunities. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Mining Ventures Brasil Ltda. and is actively involved with assisting the company’s management team with its exploration program. Don is a non-Executive Director of Ovoca Gold Plc, an AIM-listed gold exploration and mine development company based in Russia that is not affiliated with Denham or its investment funds.

Don received a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Montana.
